Farrah Fawcett has just been released from a hospital since she had some internal bleeding. She had been diagnosed with anal cancer.
This brings me to the colonoscopy which is the examination of the large colon and of the small bowel with a fiber optic camera on a flexable tube passed thru the anus. It grants the opportunity for a biopsy or removal of any suspected lessions. The colonoscopy can remove polyps as small as one millemeter or less.
Also the colon must be free of solid matter for the test to be performed properly. You are given a liquid that cleans you out and then the day of you only take in a clear liquid. I won't say it feels good but it does not hurt at all. And most of all it is a clear way of preventing colon cancer and why would we reject to something like that?
