Hey Man!
Did you know there are thousands of life threatening diseases in the world and they are contracted everytime we travel. You can't prevent yourself from being exposed to these diseases however we can protect ourselves without going to ride in the baggage compartment, and I am sure that it doesn't smell that great back there anyway. Immunizations are one of the best ways to protect yourself since many of these diseases are very dangerous.But...some of these immunizations can take up to 6 weeks to become fully effective so if your trip is a surprise, something unexpected then the immunization would not be wise. At that point make a quick call to the health department and let them know where you are headed and that will help them tell you an alternative to the immunization that would have taken care of everything if your trip was not a surprise!
